Today’s Featured Scripture: 6 Psalm 1
Scripture: O LORD, don’t rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage.
Good afternoon WBFWE Family. Happy blessed Wednesday. Another month has started. Let us be awesome… let us be specific… let us be purposeful from this day forward in Jesus name. Let us strive to make the best of every day we are blessed with. You strive to be a better you… I strive to be a better me… we strive to be better people… we strive to be better vessels… and together we can contribute to/inspire a better world. The bible tells us we are to be the salt and light of this world. We who are Christians and have a relationship with The Creator and His Son should be striving daily to be Christ-like and bringing the words of the bible to fruition. We serve a GOD that cannot tell a lie. We read a bible that does not tell a lie. Let’s not live a life that is contrary to Our God and His WORD! Continue to walk in the light… walk in the truth… walk by faith… walk in victory… in Jesus name… Amen… Sealed!!!
Today’s Featured Scripture is a powerful and thought provoking scripture. Imagine if Almighty GOD had no self control and flies off the handle whenever He wants and without notice. Imagine if He REBUKED us in His ANGER or DISCIPLINED us in His RAGE! What if The ALMIGHTY, in his haste to rebuke or discipline us, forgot about operating in GRACE, LOVE, and MERCY? What if OUR GOD acted like He had two mouths and no ears and was slow to listen, quick to speak, and quick to wrath? What if GOD Almighty didn’t operate under the forgiveness of sin rule of 70×7, but a ONE and DONE forgiveness rule? What if our loving gently but firm GOD said the first things that came to mind without caring for our feelings? What if He acted out in His feelings and wanted to hurt us because He was hurt by us, and He didn’t care how He looked, what He said, or how embarrassed He made us? What if He felt disrespected by us and wanted to disrespect us back? The WHAT IFs can go on and on and on! I honestly don’t believe there would be anyone left on this earth if He acted and reacted like the world.
We want GOD to take it easy on us, but we don’t take it easy on each other. We are made in His image. We are to try strive to be like His SON as much as possible in our words and actions. When we look in the mirror we should be seeing halos instead of horns. When we are wronged or sinned against or disrespected it is easy to retaliate and reciprocate and show our horns instead of our halo. We find it so easy to ask for what we are not willing to give or show. The next time we find ourself wanting to rebuke in anger, discipline in rage, or respond in our flesh and emotions, imagine OUR FATHER in Heaven showing no grace, no love, and no mercy, and basing His response to us on how we respond to each other. There is an old age saying… treat others as you want to be treated. I will say try this saying… treat others as you want Yahweh to treat YOU!
