Today’s Featured Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

17. Never stop praying.

Hi WBFWE Family. Happy Blessed Thursday. I do pray that your day is off to an awesome start. I plead the blood of Jesus over you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Enjoy your day and be safe in your comings and goings. Remember you are blessed to be a blessing!

Some scriptures don’t need a lot of ad lib… and this is one of those scriptures. Enjoy!

The Word tells us to NEVER STOP PRAYING. And in this day and time this is ohhhhh so true. Never stop praying is used as a nice clique, but should be a way of life for Christians, especially in what’s going on in today’s environment/society/world. Whether it’s COVID-19, the delta variant, politics and ever changing laws, senseless crimes and killings, unemployment, health situations, financial situations, family, etc… all these things beg for us to focus on them; pay attention to them; worry about them; fix them; look to world/society/each other for answers. All these things have the tendency to make us worry worry worry and more worry:-). And when we worry we add stress to our life, mind, body, and the situation. And we all know stress solves absolutely ZERO, NADA, NUFFIN.

Stress is an effective tool of the enemy and world that causes us to lose focus of Our Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior. And because we have turned up the volume to 1000 on our worries/stress/concerns, we’ve tuned out the Holy Spirit. Worry doesn’t change anything… prayer changes everything… but we have the tendency to worry more than we pray. Sometimes our worries/stress/concerns last longer because we don’t pray like we should. We stay in our feelings and emotions and head about what’s going on more than we stay in the Word, more than we stay close to the Father and Son, and more than we pray.

Wanna see change? Wanna see results? Wanna stop stressing? Pray and NEVER STOP PRAYING!

Food For Thought: When our relationship is RIGHT with the Father… Prayer is NOT an option but A WAY OF LIFE.

Today’s Featured Scripture: 19 Psalm 7-11

7. The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. 9. Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. 10. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. 11. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.

Good morning WBFWE Family! Happy blessed Monday. I do pray that all is well with you and that you’ve enjoyed your Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Thank you for stopping by. I pray that you enjoy the posting. Until next time know that you are blessed to be a blessing… no weapons formed… no words formed… no medical diagnosis formed… no enemies formed… shall prosper… greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world… and when the People of This World think they are smarter than The Creator of This World, His word tells us He will make the wise the simple. So let’s be childlike, humble, be willing to learn, be willing to learn from our mistakes, love our neighbor as ourself, and love The LORD our GOD with all our heart, all our soul, and with all our mind. Remember to trust the LORD with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Go in peace and walk in victory!

GOD’s Word is awesome to say the least. His Word is for all to partake, but the right relationship is required to activate, benefit, unlock, and reap what His Word says. We know when we are being a casual Christian. We know when we are being a Holier Than Thou Christian. We know when we are not being a Christian at all. And with being all the aforementioned type Christians we can be, if our relationship isn’t on par… if our relationship is one-sided (in our favor)… if our relationship is only when we are in trouble or have a need… if our relationship is only on Sundays… if our relationship is only about us talking and The Father listening… then we are not going to activate, benefit, unlock, or reap what His Word says. The Word tells us that God gives sunlight to both the evil and the good and he sends rain on the just and unjust alike. But if we want to take things to the next level with the Father then a consistent, obedient, real, honest, loving, strong relationship is required.

When we know in our hearts that we have a consistent, obedient, real, honest, loving, strong (notice I didn’t say perfect) relationship with Our Creator we can then Walk By Faith With Expectations. Expectations that God Can and that God Will. Expectations that His Word Can come forth and that His Word Will come forth. With the right kind of relationship with the Father we will believe that His instructions are perfect and soul reviving. We will believe what God says and trust that He is smarter than any man/woman/expert prediction etc. With the right relationship we will rest in the commandments of the Lord thus letting Him be our joy despite our situation and then receiving that peace that surpasses all understanding. With the right relationship we will respect the LORD and His Word and that respect will become a way of life. With the right relationship we will trust God’s decision and know it is for the best though it may not feel good at all. Our Creator is a spirit God so in dealing with Him we have to be and stay spiritual and not in our flesh and emotions. Crucifying the flesh never feels good and it will hurt. When we stay in our feelings and flesh, though the decision/action Yahweh makes/takes is spiritual, we have to be careful not to question God. With the right relationship when we are going through things we should be searching and desiring God’s Word, for His Word is truly sweeter than honey dripping from the honeycomb and more desirable than gold or any precious stone. With the right relationship we will honor His Word and His warnings and He will reward us by protecting us and keeping us from hurt, harm, danger, and the enemy.

God Almighty is a loving, patient, merciful, caring God, but He is NO fool. He is not to be taking for granted or be flipped on and off like a light switch. He wants ALL human-kind to have life and live that life more abundantly and to its fullest. He wants to give ALL that is His (which is errr thang) to everyone. But just as we can’t walk in a store and take/receive without paying for it… we can’t take/receive from Him and not pay for it. A right relationship with Him is HOW you pay Him. Pay the cost… it’s worth it… HE’S WORTH IT!!!

Today’s Featured Scripture: 1 Samuel 2: 29-30

29. So why do you scorn my sacrifices and offerings? Why do you give your sons more honor than you give me–for you and they have become fat from the best offerings of my people Israel! 30. Therefore, the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.

Good evening and Happy blessed Sunday WBFWE Family. It’s another blessed day we’ve never seen before and after today we will never see it again. I pray that you are enjoying your day and making the best of the day you’ve been blessed with. I pray that all is well and that as you go into the evening that you can reflect and see the hand of God over/in your life and the blessings He’s bestowed up on you.. .in Jesus name. I thank Yahweh for you and I thank you for blessing me with your presence on the site today. Enjoy the post because I’ve enjoyed sharing what I feel God has given me to share. Continue to have an awesome day and a blessed evening.

The featured scripture is about Eli being aware of his sons (Hophni and Phinehas) transgressions against the LORD; he was aware of their transgressions against the people of Israel who came to make sacrifices to the LORD; he was aware of his sons seducing the young women who assisted at the tabernacle. And though Eli knew of his sons many sins, he did not stop them. To Eli’s credit he did offer some words of wisdom to his sons and said they must stop. But something stronger was needed, like action, to put an end to the things his sons were doing. Though Eli didn’t commit the awful acts, knowing about them made him culpable and liable as if he actually physically did the acts. With Eli standing idly by and allowing things to continue the LORD sent a Man of God, Samuel, to say what thus says the LORD, which verses 29 and 30 is part of what The LORD had to say.

What I want to focus on is the bold parts of the scripture in verses 29 and 30. The LORD asked Eli through Samuel, why do you give your sons more honor than than you give me. With Eli not doing anything to stop his sons, he was honoring his sons actions over doing what he knew was right by The LORD, doing what was right by the people of Israel, and doing what was right morally. Eli came across as if he cared more about his sons than he did about the LORD. Eli allowed his sons to rob The LORD and offend God’s people. Eli stood on the sidelines albeit he was a high priest (and responsible for what went on in the tabernacle), a judge, and a parent. His loyalty, responsibility, and obedience to The LORD should’ve been his #1 priority, but instead his loyalty and priority was with his sons. Though the Bible doesn’t state how long Eli’s sons have been doing wrong, I’m going to say this wasn’t their first or second time doing this. It’s safe to say they’ve been at it a while and Eli had more than enough time to step in and do something before The LORD stepped in.

God gives us warnings directly. God gives us warnings through messengers. God gives us warnings before He takes action. Yahweh does all this while WE know what we are doing is wrong, but we figure as long as we haven’t been caught… no harm no foul. BUTTTTT… If we don’t listen… change…. stop … uhhhohhhhh spaghetti-oooooos. So again back to The LORD wanting to know, in verse 29, why is Eli giving his sons more honor than what he is getting. There was nothing Eli could say. He could stutter like porky pig, but in the end The LORD says THAT’S ALL FOLKS. We as Christians have to be mindful that we don’t pull an Eli and disregard doing what is right in The LORDS eyes and doing what’s right morally. That sometimes the situation needs more than just warning, talking, and prayer… but action. When we know and idly stand by that makes us guilty and complicit. Then we get on God’s radar and get in line to get disciplined/judged just like the ones actually doing the wrong doing… just like Eli did.

So with Eli not being able to give an excuse, justification, or answer to The LORD’s honor question, that’s when verse 30 comes in to play. The LORD said, via Samuel, “I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me. And The LORD kept His Word that He spoke against Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas (read 1 Samuel 4)… meaning since Eli and his sons didn’t honor The LORD, honor would not be shown to them by The LORD. Not only was The LORD not honoring them… The LORD was despising them. Despise is a very very very… did I say very … very strong word/verb. I know hate and despise basically have the same meaning, but despise, to me, sounds so much more harsher and final. And for The LORD to say He will despise those who think lightly of Him, that is something that should wake you up more than the strongest of strongest, blackest of blackest, most caffeine laden coffee. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us there are SEVEN things The LORD detests and those SEVEN things are heart stoppers. Now throw in He despises those who think lightly of Him… am I the only one with the BIG GULP swallow right now?

Today’s society has painted this picture… given the impression… and shows with actions daily that it thinks lightly of The Creator. We as Christians have to be very mindful and very careful that we don’t follow in the footsteps of Eli and his sons and not honor The LORD. We have to be very mindful and very careful that we don’t let society and it’s nonchalant, absentminded, out of sight out of mind attitude cause us to think lightly of Yahweh. We have a habit of thinking lightly of The LORD when all is gum drops and wagging puppy dog tails going well, smooth sailing, no problems/issues. We give Him our left overs, scraps, ohhh I forgot time, energy, and attention. But when that brown smelly stuff hits the fan and blows back at us we are looking/searching for God like where’s Waldo. We are inundating heaven with prayers like releasing a million balloons in the air. We have a habit of doing this as society, as Christians, and as people. This cycle recycles over and over and over. When will we stop the cycle? When will we stop turning our head to what’s wrong in God’s sight? When will we stop being silent thus giving the nod that we are ok with the wrong being done? When will we stop honoring people, places, and things more than The LORD? When will be stop ignoring His messages and messengers? When will we stop ignoring His Holy Spirit/conscience within us? Are we waiting for The ALMIGHTY to say I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me and have Him ACT accordingly/swiftly as He did with Eli and his sons? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again today… our relationship with The Father is personal… so we should take it personal. We know the effort we give or don’t give. And so does He. He’s not asking for perfection just consistency, care, love, and real sincere effort. He wants us to act like He matters and not just in our time of need/calamity/disaster.

When we know better we do better. The problem isn’t KNOWING… The problem is DOING! Let’s make the choice individually and collectively as Christians to HONOR The LORD so that He will HONOR US.

Food For Thought: We want God to bless us… but what are we giving to Him! It’s a QuidProQuo relationship… not a one lane one road that leads from Him to us.

Today’s Featured Scripture: 1 John 5:21

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.

Good morning WBFWE Family. Yes it has been a while since I’ve posted something (over 3 months). An honestly I’ve missed posting the WORD and giving you something to enjoy and/or think about. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that this spiritual walk is a 100 meter dash or even a marathon. This spiritual walk is a lifetime journey. We have the tendency to make things harder than necessary, because of disobedience, distractions, discouragement, not wanting to accept/embrace the new thing God wants to do in our life, holding on to the past, selfishness, being afraid/scared of the change, immaturity, stubborn, fighting God, not ready, etc. But the beautiful thing about it is if we keep WalkingByFaith, keep pressing, and don’t give up we will see the fruit/blessing from the struggle… change… newness… obedience. Your spiritual walk is personal… so take it personal. Your life depends on it and even perhaps someone else’s life depends on it!

I’ve been meditating on and carrying in my heart, mind, and spirit Today’s Featured Scripture for over 3 months now. It is amazing how we put things in our heart that knowingly or unknowingly take God’s place in our hearts. It’s equally amazing how things/desires/wants slip into our hearts and become our focus to the point that we pursue or desire that thing/desire/want more than we pursue God. Out of mouth comes what we feel in our hearts and equally important, we pursue what’s in our heart.

We are a goal oriented, dream chasing, accomplishing our vision type of people. We pursue our goals, dreams, and vision with such vigor, determination, thirst/hunger that we leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that knows us or know what we are doing that WE ARE ON A MISSION TO PURSUE AND ACCOMPLISH OUR GOAL… DREAM… VISION.. That can be a job, career, love, education, relationship, marriage, money, a happy family, vacation, material things, etc. There is nothing wrong with pursuing the aforementioned things with an all in attitude/mentality. The problem is when those things push God out our heart/life or we focus on those things more than Our Heavenly Father, leaving Him secondary, tertiary, or forgotten all together.

In my life I’ve pursued my heart’s desires more than I can count. Even with Yahweh in my life I’ve put things in my heart and have allowed things to come in my heart and take His place. It’s so easy to get caught up in matters of the heart that we don’t realize it’s happening or has happened. And that lil ol heart of ours can be desperate, have a mind of it’s own, wreck havoc in our lives, cause us to not see or think properly, cause us to make the wrong decisions, and can cause us to lose sight of what’s important.

Jeremiah 17:9 tells us that, “The human heart is deceitful of all things and desperately wicked. Who really nows how bad it is?” We as humans don’t know how deceitful the heart is but The LORD does. And with the LORD knowing how this human heart is why do we not trust Him with it. Why do we continually put things in our heart that takes His place? 37 Psalm 23 (New Living Translation) tells us that, “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” He can’t really direct our steps if He is not in our hearts. He can’t direct our steps if we keep putting things in our hearts that keep pushing Him out. So if He is not in our hearts directing our steps who’s directing us? Is it SELF… our ambitions/goals/desires… OUR HEART!?!

The benefits of having and keeping Our Creator in our heart are too numerous to mention. But we shouldn’t have Him in our heart because of what He does/gives. It should be because He loves us and because we love Him and because it’s the right thing to do as Christians. Exodus 34:14 (New Living Translation) states that, “You must worship no other gods, for the LORD whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.” Powerful deep stuff right? Righhhtttt!!! Let me first say that our goals, dreams, and visions can turn into gods if we are not careful and keep things in perspective. We can start worshipping those lil g’s before we know it. We then turn those little g’s into BIG G’s, putting those things on the same level if not a higher level than God, thus competing for His place in our heart.

Our God has a right to be jealous. He has a right to not have to compete for our time, attention, and love. Think about it. With all that He does for us every second of every day. With all that He doesn’t do to us (that we have earned or deserved). The simple fact that He is GOD… OUR CREATOR… He’s earned and deserves to take up our complete heart leaving no chance for Him to be pushed out by anything or anyone else. If we are keeping Him in His rightful spot in our hearts and lives, He will direct us and guide us in pursuing our dreams, visions, and goals, creating a win win situation for us and all we want to accomplish that’s in His perfect will for us.

Prayer: Gracious and All Knowing and Loving God Yahweh thank you for knowing us and understanding us as only you can and you do. Our desire is to keep you as the head of our lives in Jesus name. To keep you as our first thought our first love not an after thought or a forgotten love. Father open the eyes of our heart so that we can see you in Jesus name. Help us bless us to be aware of when we are making you compete with other priorities. Help us to see when we are losing sight of you. Help us to see and feel when we are pushing you out of our heart with other things, people, or situations. We pray and ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen!

1 John 2:3-6

3. “And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4. If someone claims, ‘I know God,’ but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.”

Hello WBFWE Family. I pray that your week is off to an awesome start. Thanks for stopping by and I pray that you continue to have a blessed, safe, and positive day and overall week. In all we do and say let’s do it as unto The Lord.

Our faith walk is an individual thing. And I’m definitely not here to pass judgement on anyone. Before I can share the Word with you I have to first read, understand, and apply it to myself. And in doing that I accept the ugly hard truth of my faith walk and what I’m doing or not doing. And this scripture definitely made me look at myself and judge my own faith walk. The good thing about correcting yourself is that no one else can do it for you… we are being our own judge and jury. But if we aren’t willing to look at and fix ourselves, that’s when people do what people do best and judge, condemn, criticize, and be critical. But more than that, we then leave it up to Yahweh through Christ Jesus to correct, discipline, or straighten us out. I personally think it is much better for us to correct self than to have The Father do it or man/woman gossip, judge, or criticize.

The above scripture is a tough chew and even tougher swallow. Because it holds no punches and gets right in your face with the fact of the matter truth. Verse 3 states that, “And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments.” The only ones who knows for sure if we are obeying His commandments are ourselves and God Almighty. But our actions/behaviors/words are a very good indication if we are obeying His commandments. If anyone is paying attention to our actions/behaviors/words they can make an assessment/judgement/assumption about us obeying His commandments or not. If we proclaim to be a Christian then we put ourselves in a glass house to be viewed by fellow Christians and non-christians alike. Our words and actions are then viewed with much detail, thus letting the judgement begin. But if we are mindful of being made in His image and being a follower of Christ Jesus we can be our own police and not be afraid of being viewed and judged, because we are looking in the mirror and cleaning up what we see before anyone else can point and talk.

Verses 4 is a gut punch verse. It can knock the wind out of you. It can make you not want to look at yourself. It can make you look at yourself and admit that the person looking back at you is ugly and needs to change. If we claim we know God, but don’t obey his commandments… we are a liar and not living in the truth. I’m not calling anyone a liar because who am I to judge. And on top of that I’m too busy looking at myself and calling myself out. The Father knows we are sinful, fall short, fall off, judgmental, imperfect people, but that is not a reason or excuse to live our lives the way we want. But we live our lives the way we want and still expect Him to bless us as if we are living our lives the way He has told us to do. We live our lives in a way that pleases us, but tell Our Creator we love Him. We claim to be a Christian and know Christ, but how we are living doesn’t reflect that we know Christ or follow Him. So if we are doing all this… we are indeed what the Word calls us… which is a LIAR and not living in the truth. NOBODY likes being called a LIAR!!! If we are looking at ourselves and policing ourselves, no one, including ourselves, can honestly and truthfully criticize… judge… or call us a LIAR.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:48, “But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Now for the record we are not perfect and only ONE human has ever been or ever will be perfect and that is our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. With that being said we are challenged… told… expected to be mature… complete… striving for perfection as much as humanly possible… NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS ABOUT IT. Our character needs to be on point. Our holiness needs to be above reproach (we are to separate ourselves from the world since we are Christians). Our maturity needs to reach its pinnacle. Our love needs to be how Yahweh tells us to love and how Christ shows us how to love. We can be perfect if our behavior/actions/words are appropriate for our maturity level with the understanding we still have room to grow. When we obey Lord God’s word we truly show how completely we love Him. That’s how we know we are living in Him and He is living in us. We can’t be perfect like Jesus, but we can strive to be like Jesus and we can strive to live our lives as Jesus did/does.

2 Peter 3:8

“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.”

Good morning and Happy Blessed Tuesday WBFWE Family. I do pray that you and your family are doing well this beautiful Tuesday. I hope you enjoy this posting and that what you read blesses you, strengthens you, encourages you, and draws you closer to The Father through Christ Jesus. Walk in victory and remember that NO words and NO weapons formed shall PROSPER. Remember that those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Praise despite the predicament and blessings will follow despite the barrier. Have an awesome Tuesday y’all:-).

A day is like a thousand years to the LORD, and a thousand years is like a day! The first few things that come to mind when I read this scripture is: 1. God you play too much! 2. God are you serious:-(. 3. God I can’t with you! 4. What I was waiting for ain’t all that important now that I think about it. And D. Ima just go ahead and pass out now, but wake me when it’s time.

When I think about a thousand years I think about the Old Testament and how long people lived back then. Adam (First Man) he lived 930 years. Noah (who built the Ark) lived 950 years. Jared (father of Enoch) lived 962 years. Seth (father of Enosh) lived 912 years. Kenan (father of Mahalalel) lived 910 years. Methuselah (father of Lamech) lived 969 years. Basically all these people roughly lived 1 day in Yahweh’s sight. That is mind blowing to me. And here we are modern day humans. The most up to date and advanced version of human being and we may be blessed to see 100 years. 100 years is what, less than an hour, in God’s timing. Seeing it from that perspective… we don’t have any time to waste huh!?!

As a Christian, I’ll be the first to admit that waiting on The Father is not the easiest thing to do. I get happy feet. I get ant’s in the pants that make me wanna have happy feet. I get restless and excited and ready to make a mess out of situation I have no control over. I start looking at the clock/time and get discouraged. All this happens because Lord God’s timing is not our timing. The scripture above tells us how Our Heavenly Father views time. But we try to rush Him into action. Help Him into action. Worry Him into action. Pray Him in to action. Only to come to the realization that God is not on our time. And starting without Him… moving without Him… not waiting for Him will only make matters worse for us and the situation at hand.

But what do we do in the meantime while we wait on God Almighty to show up? Well we should be doing what He has told us to do. What He has put before us to do. What He has giving us to do. And if none of those things apply then simply hang on, endure, trust Him, and just go through the trial until it’s over or continue to wait on what you are waiting for. 37 Psalms verses 23 and 24 tells us that, “23. The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” If we claim that He is directing our foot steps then we should be prepared for “the meantime” meaning that until what we are waiting for manifest or pass, we should have our eyes fixed to the heavens, stay prayerful, and stay busy in Jesus name. When He directs our footsteps we have no idea how long the journey will be, but we should take comfort in knowing He is with us. The Father already knew we would have issues with the wait/hold time we have to deal with. He knows we are a microwave/instant/nownownow people with barely any patience to wait, so He is telling us in verse 24, that though we stumble, we will never fall for He the LORD holds our hand. Baby let me tell you that not only does He hold our hand… He be dragging us along also because we’ve given up and out. So much for the scripture that states run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. We be fainting, falling, fussing and giving up the ghost. I can see why the footprints in the sand came to be. He got tired of us fainting, falling, fussing, and dragging us that He decided to pick us up and carry us until we are strong enough to stand and walk, hence the one set of footprints in the sand.

Yes waiting on Yahweh to act in Jesus name can try the best Christian’s patience. It’s not easy to wait. It is easier to move without Him and mess things up than to wait for Him and have things be right. Yes it feels and looks like a 1000 years has gone by as we wait. But there is beauty, character building, patience, testimony, endurance, love, appreciation, faith, a stronger relationship built along our patience journey. It’s all about our mindset, our faith, our attitude, and our relationship with the Father that will determine if His 1000 years will be tomorrow or not. We all have seasons to go through in life and being patient, keeping the faith and waiting is a season all Christians have to go through sooner or later. Joyfully go through your season of being patient, keeping the faith, and waiting. In the end HE IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!

Hebrews 13:14

“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.”

Good morning WBFWE Family. We made it to another Friday. Another weekend upon us. I praise and thank Yahweh for the blessings of rest, peace and quiet, a roof over my head, to have the functioning of my brain and body, to have access to His word, and the ability to read, interpret, and share His Word… in Jesus name. Pray that my WBFWE Family Members are well today and appreciating their blessings from the sleep last night to reading of this prayer and word right now… in Jesus name. Praying that The Father will answer spoken and unspoken prayers. Praying The Father will continue to bless you in your comings and goings today. Praying protection and safety for you from all hurt, harm, or danger. I pray He continues to direct and guide you throughout this day, your weekend, and for as long as you allow Him. And I pray that we remember that our permanent home is not this world we current live in and look forward to glory of the new home to come. Almighty God I pray these things in the mighty, sweet, humble, loving name of your Son and Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Amen Amen Amen! Walk in Peace… Walk in Victory!!

We as Christians have to remember that we are only on this earth for a short period of time. We should be mentally pitching a tent here on earth not mentally building a permanent residence. We should be storing up our treasures in heaven not here on earth. By us getting comfortable with the things of this world and calling it home we lose sight of God’s future blessings and our future home.

For when we openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. Once we do that we are not like the rest of the world who doesn’t believe and who wants to hold on this world and the things of this world and not want to leave. They have nothing to look forward to, no future home to go to, except the box they will be buried in. They’ve stored up all their treasures here on earth. And all “their stuff” can’t be buried with them.

But we who do believe and have confessed should be living our lives in a manner that honors Yahweh and not make Christ’s death in vain. Christ came with the mindset that this world was not His home and what kept Him going was the glory that was to come. Let us take on the same mindset as Christ and know that there is something better on the other side for us. Let us look forward to the glory… the home to come.

Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Good morning WBFWE Family. I pray that your week is off to an awesome start. Continue to have a blessed day and week. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon!

The above scripture can be considered cliche-ish among Christians. But the question is do we truly believe it. When situations, trials, tribulations, troubles, challenges, pandemics come into our lives/world and affect things, do we go up and down with our changes/concerns/issues or do we go to our consistency… our shelter… our rock… … for stability.

Though our world changes our Lord and Savior doesn’t change. Don’t let life toss you around like a small inflatable raft on hurricane type waters. Grab and hold on to what never changes… that knows all… that fixes all… that can pull you through all that you go through.

Though our trials change from yesterday… to today… and always. Jesus is the same yesterday… Yesterday’s Jesus is the same today… Today’s Jesus is the same forever!

Hebrews 12:8 and 12:11

8. “If God doesn’t disciple you as he does all his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.”

11. “No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening-it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.”

Happy blessed Friday WBFWE Family. We’ve made it to another blessed Friday. And after today we will never see this Friday again. So let us enjoy this day. Let us praise The Father for this day. Let us be thankful for this day. I pray you have a blessed, safe, and enjoyable day and start to your weekend. Appreciate you stopping by… see you again soon!

I pray blessings and plead the blood of Jesus over you. In Jesus name… Amen!

The definition of discipline is as follows: The practice of training people to obey rules or code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. Another definition of discipline is training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character. There are also 3 types of discipline and they are as follows: Preventative Discipline, Supportive Discipline, and Corrective Discipline. In a nut shell here are the definition of the 3 types of discipline. Preventative Discipline: provide proactive intervention to avoid the rise of behavior problems. Supportive Discipline: provide suggestions and options for correcting a behavior before a consequence is necessary. Corrective Discipline: when all else has failed to correct a behavior that’s when consequences are brought forth.

Discipline is good for us. Discipline is necessary for us. How else do you get changed behavior if there isn’t some form of discipline. All jobs/fields/professions require some form of discipline, without it anything goes and any behavior is acceptable. Athletes require discipline to train their minds, bodies, and attitudes if they want to get the very best out of themselves. If they don’t have the required discipline they won’t last long in whatever sport they are in. The military requires discipline. Imagine a military that has an undisciplined force. A force that doesn’t follow orders and does what it pleases. An undisciplined military will not win a battle. Parenting without discipline is a heartbreak waiting to happen. How can a parent expect a child to do as they’re told and know right from wrong if there isn’t some form of discipline.

Yahweh tells us in His WORD the following about discipline: Proverbs 12:1 – Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. Proverbs 13:24 – Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. Proverbs 15:32 – Whoever ignores instruction despises himself, but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence. Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Job 5:17 – Behold, blessed is the one who God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. Hebrews 12:11- No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening- it is painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Revelation 3:19 – Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. There are a plethora of scripture that talks about discipline and with Our Creator putting so much emphasis on discipline there must be something to this discipline thing right?

Imagine if Jesus wasn’t disciplined and He did what He wanted and not what He was sent to do. He would not have died thus not taken away our sins. He would’ve put us in a quandary for real for real. What I mean is before Jesus came, in the Old Testament, they had to sacrifice animals to Lord God in order to atone for sins. Just imagine we having to sacrifice animals in this day in time to be forgiven of our sins. We as people sin so much that each person having 100 acres of land with nothing but animals on it possibly would not be enough. We would run out of animals to sacrifice in a week or month tops because we can’t stop sinning. We would be slaughtering animals for repentance more than we would be eating them. We run out of animals to sacrifice and all that would be left would be plants and veggies to eat (if it’s a vegan who runs out of meat they would be ok, but a meat lover like myself… ohhhh nawwww I’d be in a hurt’an status). Would we stop sinning because we run out of meat… chances are NOT. Either we would go steal someone else’s animal to sacrifice for our sins, and the stealing of that animal would further compound our problems. Or we would go to our neighbor with the expectation that they would take from their home/family and give to us. Would that be fair to the neighbor… nope. Though we lacked discipline and now lack animals, we will still find a way to avoid dealing with our consequences. What I just wrote may sound comical or maybe confusing, but that’s what happens when we lack discipline. People with discipline laugh at or find the undisciplined comical and confusing, because discipline is not as hard as we make it.

If Yahweh doesn’t discipline us The Word tells us that we are not His children. And if we are not His children, then whose children are we? I’ll give you a hint on whose children we would be. I’ll give you one consonant and one vowel… S A _ A _ and it ain’t Santa :-). Almighty God disciplines us because He loves us. He knows that discipline develops character, patience, strength, love, self respect, tolerance, etc. And all that helps make us better children of His, better vessels for Him, better people for this world, and better brothers and sisters in Christ. The same concept with a parent’s discipline for their child. It will make them better children, better students, better parents when/if the time comes, better workers in the work force, better people for society and the world, etc. I know growing up, man oh man, did we have some discipline in the home. Belts, switches, plastic race tracks, extension cords, etc. (don’t wanna tell all my parents disciplinary secrets)… and yes my parents used talking as a preventative discipline tactic before the corrective discipline tactic took place. All my welts have gone down and all my bruises have healed lol. I turned out pretty good. I’m sure some of you had similar experiences, but you and I both lived to be here today and we are better off for the discipline.

But God isn’t going to use a belt or switch or shoe to discipline us. The Father will talk to us and give us warnings/signs first. He will use Preventative Discipline and Supportive Discipline before resorting to the final straw of Corrective Discipline. He knows what to do to get us back on track or get us to where He feels we should be. If we listen and accept His reproof we are golden. If we don’t listen then call us stupid, or stubborn, or a glutton for punishment. Sometimes we act like we are from the show me state where we feel that Him showing us is better than Him telling us. Our Father doesn’t want to use corrective discipline on us, just like our parents didn’t want to use belts to discipline us. Our Heavenly Parent and for the most part, our earthly parents, would much rather discipline through talkings and warnings and not with a heavy hand or corrective discipline… but all options were/are on the table:-). Going through the discipline didn’t feel good as a child back then and it doesn’t feel good as an adult today. But it was for our good then and for our good now. It’s much better to be disciplined The Almighty’s way than the world’s way. Lord God’s discipline we can and will recover from. The world’s discipline we may or may not recover from.

Remember: Our lack of discipline determines the type of discipline we receive… and the type of discipline determines our consequences… it’s better to just have discipline!

Hebrews 11:1

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”

We may lose a lot of things in life… loved ones, friends, jobs, homes, relationships, money, trust in people… but let’s not lose FAITH. Faith that Yahweh is real. Faith that Almighty God created this world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Faith that Jesus is real. Faith that Jesus is the Son of God and our Lord and Savior. Faith that Jesus died for you and I and rose on the 3rd day for you and I. Faith that all who don’t know Christ in the pardoning of their sins will come to know Him before it’s too late. Faith that all things are possible to those who believe. Faith that we have the victory in Christ Jesus. Faith that greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. Faith that this too (pandemic, trials and tribulations, heartache and headache, whatever is troubling you/I) shall pass. Faith that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Faith that if God spoke it that it will happen. Faith that if you do right that right will follow you. Faith that in the end that you will win. Faith that Satan is already defeated. Faith that despite what we see or what goes on in our life, country, or world, that Lord God is still in control. Faith that God will not leave us or forsake us. Faith that God’s timing is the right timing. Faith that the wicked/those that do evil/those who think they are getting away with injustice will give an account for their actions. Faith that God will fight out battles. Faith that He will continue to direct our steps if we allow Him. Faith that our Heavenly Father will answer our prayers. Faith that we will not get weary in well doing. Faith that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Faith that no weapon formed shall prosper. Faith that what we hope for, though we can’t see it, that it will actually happen.
